Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) introduced the Honda Grazia 125 cc scooter in November last year and the model turned out to be a runaway success for the manufacturer. Almost a year into its launch, HMSI has announced that the Honda Grazia has crossed the two lakh sales milestone. The sales mark comes in 11 months of launch, which translates to around 18,000 units every month. The Grazia is Honda's second offering in 125 cc scooter segment and emerged as a big push for the brand in the segment, which continues to be dominated by the Suzuki Access 125. Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the all-new Triumph Scrambler 1200, an off-road motorcycle on the lines of the Triumph Street Scrambler, but with a more potent 1200 cc parallel-twin engine, and suspension set-up suited for proper off-road duty. The Scrambler 1200 is offered in two variants - the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC and the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE. The model names have been borrowed from the Tiger family instead of the Bonneville range to underline the new Scrambler 1200's off-road capability. Both variants are off-road oriented, but the top-spec XE variant offers more suspension travel and more advanced electronics. Both variants of the Triumph Scrambler 1200 will be displayed to the public at next month's EICMA show in Milan, with a market launch slated for early 2019. Bajaj Auto has reported several firsts in the results for the second quarter for the current financial year. In a statement, Bajaj Auto said the company has witnessed all round growth in volumes, turnover and profits in this quarter (July - September 2018). The company recorded its highest ever volumes of 13,39,44 units in all, with domestic motorcycle volumes accounting for 6,92,899 units. Turnover for this quarter is also the highest, at Rs. 8,368 crore, while consolidated profit after tax stood at Rs. 1,257 crore. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at Rs. 1,454 crore. Royal Enfield dealerships have started accepting bookings for the soon-to-be-launched 650 Twins for an amount of Rs. 5,000. According to dealers, the two new models - the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 - are expected to cost around Rs. 3.5 lakh (on-road Delhi) and deliveries will begin by December 2018. The 650 Twins, as they are called, are the first Royal Enfield motorcycles in the company's modern history to sport an all-new 650 cc, parallel-twin engine. TVS Motor Company has reported a revenue growth of 22 per cent for the second quarter of FY 2018-19. TVS' total revenue in the quarter grew to Rs. 4,994 crore from Rs. 4098 crore in the same quarter a year ago. EBITDA for the quarter ended September 2018 is at Rs. 428.2 crore, compared to Rs. 362.6 crore for the quarter ended September 2017, a growth of 18.1 per cent, the company said in a press release. The company's Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the quarter is Rs. 306.2 crore, against Rs. 296.8 crore for the quarter ended September 2017. The Ducati Panigale V4 R is the downsized, 1,000 cc version of the Ducati Panigale V4, and will be Ducati's weapon of choice in superbike racing for some time now. The current Panigale V4's 1,194 cc engine overshoots the displacement limit for the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) for four-cylinder models, so an engine meeting the WSBK homologation requirements was imminent. Latest spy shots show exactly such an example of the V4 R undergoing test runs at an undisclosed location.
