TVS Victor CBS Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs. 54,682

TVS Motor Company has updated the Victor 110 cc commute motorcycle with Combined Braking System (CBS) ahead of the March 31, 2019, deadline for the new safety regulations. Synchronised Braking System (SBT) as TVS calls it is now a standard feature on the TVS Victor CBS and is priced from Rs. 54,682, going up to Rs. 57,662 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company says its SBT helps reduce braking distance up to 10 per cent, as compared to other comparable braking systems. Apart from SBT, the bike gets no other changes for the new year. Power continues to come from the same 110 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled, 3-valve engine tuned for 9.3 bhp at 7500 rpm and 9.4 Nm of peak torque available at 6000 rpm. The motor is paired with a 4-speed gearbox. The bike is suspended by telescopic forks up front and dual spring series suspension at the rear. 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 Price Revealed

The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 has been long anticipated motorcycle for this year. We've told you about all the upgrades on the bike and have ridden it too, but the prices have remained under wraps. However, Bajaj dealers have confirmed to carandbike that the 2019 Bajaj Dominar will be priced at Rs. 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new pricing makes the comprehensively updated motorcycle about Rs. 10,000 more expensive than the outgoing version that retailed at Rs. 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). For the additional price though, the new Dominar is now an extensively changed offering, addressing several issues over its predecessor. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India recently inaugurated its 1,000th dealership in India at Zirakpur in Punjab. The 1,000th Honda Exclusive Authorised Dealer is a 4S (Sales/ Service/ Spares/ Safety) facility. With an aggressive expansion plan, Honda has added 3,300 touch-points in the last five years across the country. At present, HMSI has a total of 6,000 touch-points in India, one of the highest for a two-wheeler manufacturer. Recently, Honda also achieved another milestone, with customers in north India crossing the 60 lakh sales mark in the company's 18th year of operations. Mahindra Mojo UT 300 Offered With Discounts Up To Rs. 60,000

Mahindra 2Wheelers is offering discounts to the tune of Rs. 60,000 on the Mojo UT 300 across the country. Select dealerships have confirmed to carandbike that the discounts are available in the range of Rs. 40,000-60,000, whereas Mahindra employees can avail a discount as high as Rs. 75,000 on the Mojo UT 300. For those looking to avail the discount, the same is only being offered till March 31, 2019. The dealers are essentially trying to dry up existing stocks of the motorcycle, which is yet to get ABS as standard, and will be deemed illegal for sale from April 1, 2019. The discounts are available only on the Mahindra Mojo UT 300 and do not extend to the XT 300 variant that was introduced last year. Both versions draw power from the same 295 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Triumph Modern Classic Range Recalled In India; Over 1,000 Units Affected

Triumph Motorcycles India has issued a recall of over 1,000 units of its modern classic motorcycles because of a potential fault where the clutch cable may come in contact with the wiring harness, causing loss of electrical power. The securing guide for the clutch cable in the headstock tidy could be faulty. The clutch cable may contact the main harness cover and cause damage to wiring within the main harness, and lead to a loss of electrical power to various electrical circuits on the motorcycles. Triumph will notify owners of the affected motorcycles, and dealers will replace the original securing guide for the clutch cable and main harness with an updated one, free of charge. Japanese motorsport team Mugen has unveiled the eighth iteration of the Mugen Shinden electric racebike at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show. The Mugen Shinden Hachi will be piloted around the Isle of Man TT course by John McGuinness and Michael Rutter in the TT Zero category in this year's edition of the famous road race. "Hachi" means "eight" in Japanese, for the eighth iteration of the electric superbike, which has dominated the TT Zero class at the Isle of Man TT. The actor has been synonymous with motorcycles and cementing this image was the movie Dhoom that hit the theatres back in 2004. Over a decade and a half later, John will be seen once again on a motorcycle on celluloid, albeit in his own production venture. The actor has announced a new motorcycle-based film that has been developed by his own production house and will be going on floors later this year. The second round of the FIM Bajas World Cup Rally ended on Sunday and Indian riders Aishwarya Pissay and Ashish Raorane traversed the challenging terrains of Portugal to complete the gruelling rally. While Ashish managed to complete the race in 27th place overall, while Aishwarya finished in 29th place in the Baja do Pinhal. Pissay though managed to bag a podium in the women's category of the rally with a third-place finish and was placed fourth in the junior category. The two-day rally saw the riders complete a course of 364.69 km. Aishwarya's completion of the rally is also commendable as the TVS racer managed to do so after enduring a nerve pull on her right hand during Stage 1 on Saturday. The injury affected her pace but she managed to complete both stages. The company has unveiled the new Aprilia RSV4 X, which is a track-only motorcycle and has been developed by Aprilia Racing with components derived from its WSBK and MotoGP race bikes. Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced the Combined Braking System (CBS) on the drum brake version of Access 125 scooter. The Suzuki Access 125 CBS on the drum brake version is priced at Rs. 56,667 (ex-showroom, Delhi), about Rs. 500 more than the non-CBS model and is now a standard feature on the scooter in compliance with the upcoming safety norms. The new regulations mandate CBS on all two-wheelers below 125 cc and ABS for everything with a larger displacement. The deadline for the norms is March 31, 2019. Kawasaki India To Increase Prices From April 1, 2019

India Kawasaki Motors (IKM) today announced that it will be increasing the prices of select models in India by up to 7 per cent. The revised prices for the motorcycles will come into effect from April 1, 2019, onwards and the new prices will be disclosed on the Kawasaki India's official website. Stating the reason for the price hike, Kawasaki India says, "IKM strives hard to keep the price of its models very competitive in the India market. However, due to the increasing costs of raw materials and fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, IKM is compelled to change the price of our models." Ducati Global Sales Slip 2.7 Per Cent In 2018

Ducati's global sales volumes for 2018 remains over the 50,000 level for the fourth consecutive year in 2018, despite a 2.7 per cent decrease in global sales. In all, Ducati delivered 53,004 motorcycles to customers worldwide, compared to 55,871 motorcycles in 2017. Sales in Ducai's number one market, the US, proved to be particularly challenging, declining by nearly 9 per cent. Overall revenue in 2018 reached a figure of 699 million Euros, compared to 736 million Euros in 2017. Operating profit for 2018 was 49 million Euros, compared to 51 million Euros in 2017. Honda has taken the wraps off a limited edition CB1000R+ Limited Edition for global markets. It is based on the standard Honda CB1000R+ which is also on sale in India at a price of Rs. 14.46 lakh (ex-showroom). The CB1000R+ Limited Edition will be an exclusive model and Honda will manufacture only 350 units of the same. Each motorcycle will also have production serial number etched onto the fuel tank. Will a few units be earmarked for India? It is highly unlikely. Coming to the features, the CB1000R+ Limited Edition gets a new paint scheme of red, white and blue on the fuel tank and the rear seat cowl. The 2020 KTM 390 Adventure is one the most highly anticipated motorcycles in recent times and is set for a global debut later this year at the EICMA Motorcycle Show in Italy. The first spy shots of the motorcycle were first seen as early as 2017 and now a new image has emerged of the 390 Adventure being tested in India. The test mule shows the bike in complete camouflage, albeit showing a glimpse of what to expect on the upcoming offering. Compared to the previous spy shots though, this one does miss out on the top box and saddle bags that reflected the tour-friendly nature of the bike.
