2018 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Launched In Sri Lanka
TVS Motor Company today announced the launch of its 160 cc naked street bike, the 2018 Apache RTR 160 4V, in Sri Lanka. The bike has been launched priced at LKR 379,900 (ex-showroom, Colombo), which is almost around Rs. 1.63 lakh as per current exchange rates. The Apache RTR 160 4V will be offered in the same existing colour options, namely, Racing Red, Knight Black, and Metallic Blue, with the chequered pattern graphics. The Apache was launched in India early this year, in March 2018, and Sri Lanka is one of the first export markets to get the new 160 cc bike.

Talking about the launch of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V in Sri Lanka, R. The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is based on the company's six-time Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) winning motorcycle, Group B RTR 165. In fact, the bike is powered by the most-powerful 160 cc, single-cylinder in the segment. The 159.7 cc 4-stroke, 4-valve, the oil-cooled engine makes 16 bhp at 8000 rpm and develops 14.8 Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed super-slick gearbox that offers a precise and powerful riding experience.

Being derived from a race bike, it gets a bunch of sporty equipment like - a double-cradle split synchro stiff frame design, telescopic front forks and rear monoshocks designed in coordination with Showa, alloy wheels with 270 mm petal disc brake up front and the option of either 130 mm drum or 200 mm petal disc brake from the rear wheel. The front wheel is shod in 110 mm tubeless tyres, while the rear wheel gets 130 mm tubeless tyres as standard. Other features include - daytime running LED position lights, digital instrument console, a one-piece seat, and racing double barrel exhaust.
