Revolt RV400 Electric Motorcycle Sold Out For September & October

Gurugram-based Revolt Intellicorp launched India's first AI-enabled electric motorcycle last month. The company introduced the RV 400 in the market, which has been sold out for the months of September and October this year. Revolt announced that the electric motorcycle sold out in Delhi and Pune, where the bikes are on sale currently, for deliveries till the end of October. Instead, prospective buyers can sign up for the second batch deliveries between November-December 2019. The company, however, has not shared the number of bookings it has received for the first batch.

Commenting on the milestone, Rahul Sharma, Founder, Revolt Intellicorp said, "The response to the RV400 indicates that the consumer shift is already underway, and that India is ready for the electric revolution. It reinforces our intent to continually deliver consumer delight and making EVs accessible to the masses with initiatives such as the MyRevolt Plan (MRP). In the last 4 days we have had consumers in thousands at our hubs in Delhi without the showrooms being active, confirming their booking online. Thank you, Delhi and Pune, we are delighted with your response and enthusiasm shown to us here at Revolt."

Revolt said that it had to close bookings within four days of launching the RV400 electric motorcycle for the first batch. The company says over 90 per cent customers opted for the MyRevolt Plan (MRP) Premium. The company is retailing the RV400 in variants - Base and Premium with a montly payment plan of Rs. 3499 and Rs. 3999 respectively, for 37 months. It is the latter that is feature loaded and has caught the fancy of customers. For the RV400 Premium variant, the electric bike's on-road price works out Rs. 1.48 lakh.

For the price, the Revolt RV400 packs in a lot of tech while also promising a hasslefree ownership experience. The payment plan includes not only the bike's cost, but service cost as well. The company is also offering battery warranty of 8 years/150,000 km, maintenance benefits for 3 years/30,000 km, product warranty of 5 years/75,000 km and insurance of 1 year/company owned, 5 years third party, as part of the introductory benefits. The monthly aims to make the electric motocycle more affordable at a fixed cost, while providing the ownership from the first day itself.

With respect to the mechanicals, the Revolt RV400 uses a 3.24 KWh Lithium Ion battery that generates 72V of power and comes with a maximum range of 150 km on a single charge. The top speed is rated at 85 kmph in the Sport mode. The bike comes with USD forks up front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear, while braking power comes from discs at either end with CBS as standard. The bike has a kerb weight of 108 kg, which makes it quite light. The battery can be fully charged in 4.5 hours, while customers can also purchase a connected helmet in partnership with Google, which allows users to start the bike using voice command.

Deliveries for the RV400 will begin from the four Revolt Hubs in Delhi later this week, while the Pune Hubs will be inaugurated by mid-September for customers to test ride and complete KYC formalities. Bookings for the second batch are now open with deliveries to start from November 2019.
