Ducati Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour Revealed
The new Ducati Multistrada 1260 Grand Tour is a special edition model of the current Ducati Multistrada 1260 S. The engine, and other components of the new model remain the same as the current 1260 S, with the same 1,262 cc, Testastretta DVT engine with 158 bhp, and the same electronics package as the current Multistrada 1260 S. The electronic Skyhook suspension by Sachs is also the same, but the Multistrada 1260 Grand Tour gets a few more standard accessories to make it a special edition model.
The bike gets a standard centre stand, plusher rider and passenger seats and standard panniers. Heated grips also come as standard, as well as additional LED lights, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Other features include an electronics package with traction control, wheelie control, cornering ABS, cornering lights, up/down quickshifter, cruise control, vehicle hold control for stops on inclines, as well as the standard semi-active electronic suspension.
The Grand Tour is likely to be the last update on the L-twin engine Multistrada models, and will sit just below the Ducati Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak. Next year, Ducati is likely to debut a V4 engine on the Multistrada series, and it will likely get the next generation electronics package, including radar assisted rider assist systems. But that will probably take a year or more, before the next generation Multistrada makes its debut.
