Most estimates had pegged Hero's Q1 profit number at between Rs. 700 and 800 Cr. This was thanks to a one-off exceptional gain of Rs. 737.50 Cr thanks to a favourable order from Supreme Court, which helped it to reverse provision made for an exceptional item in the current quarter. 2020 Honda CRF 250L, Honda CRF 250 Rally To Get Twin Spark Technology

Image
Patent images of the 2020 Honda CRF 250L and Honda CRF 250 Rally have surfaced online which show updated internals, including twin spark ignition, a new mechanical fuel pump and direct injection. The updated models do not look radically different from the current models, but as the patent filings reveal, there will be some changes to the mechanicals, in all likelihood, to meet the Euro 5 emission regulations. More importantly though, the updates will also make the off-road ready bikes easy to use and service, particularly in growing markets like South East Asia. Patent images show a 2020 Honda CRF 250 L with some mechanical updates The twin spark technology, also seen as Bajaj Auto's DTSi technology, helps the engine burn the air/fuel mixture more efficiently. The swap from an electronic fuel pump to a mechanical pump will also help reduce the amount of service needed on the bikes. The direct injection could make the bikes feel more responsive and with some extra 'pep'

New pictures of the updated Benelli TNT 600i have emerged, and this time the pictures are clear, unlike the grainy spy shots we saw earlier, and reveal significant design updates to the middleweight naked. The studio shots show the bike from all angles and are part of a new design patent filing, and show some differences from the TNT 600i spotted in China, so Benelli could still be tweaking with the final design, or there could be more than one variant on offer. Ducati Multistrada V4 Spotted On Test

Ducati may have made the Italian brand's intentions clear that the Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine will be used on more models, and not necessarily in the same sportbike segment. And the first confirmation that Ducati has indeed been toying with the idea of a Multistrada V4 is from the latest spy shots and video of a prototype on test. Apart from the Ducati Panigale V4 and the Panigale V4R, now Ducati may be looking to use a V4 version in a new, upcoming model of the Ducati Multistrada which will have the high-revving V4 engine. Also Read: Ducati CEO Confirms More Models With V4 Engines The bike seen in the spy shots and video looks very similar to the current Ducati Multistrada 1260, but what is clear is that the engine is a V4, and not the L-twin that Ducati uses on the current Multistrada. It's still not clear if Ducati is actually in the process of developing a Multistrada V4 or if this is just a one-off case of testing the V4 engine on the Multistrada platform. The styli

2019 BMW R 1250 GS Review

Image
Street tyres, a 250 kg behemoth of an adventure motorcycle with 134 bhp on tap, and loose dirt! Not the ideal combination, and more so, if you don't have expert-level dirt-riding skills. And as I gas the new BMW R 1250 GS , the rear steps out alarmingly, before momentum, and a quick check on the throttle, brings it back in line. I'm still upright, and relief flows freely and easily as the sweat running down my face. With the minor misadventure averted, I head on down the trail to seek the next adventure the terrain will offer. And then it begins to dawn on me; such shenanigans seem almost effortless on this hulk of an adventure bike. The BMW R 1250 GS is a full-sized adventure bike with real off-road capability But it's not only physics or in this case, calm nerves which permit me to take such liberties with the 2019 BMW R 1250 GS. It's partly due to how perfectly balanced the GS feels like, with its mass centred low, as well as the sophisticated electronic wizardr

He is now slated to make a comeback with the British GP on August 25, 2019. Lorenzo fractured his T6 and T8 vertebra in a fast fall at Turn seven of the TT Circuit Assen. New Triumph Bonneville Bobber Spotted On Test

Image
Triumph Motorcycles is working on an updated model of the Triumph Bonneville Bobber and spy shots have emerged of a prototype on test in Spain. The spy shots do not reveal much of any change in the powerplant, but the prototype sports new suspension and brakes, so Triumph is obviously working on making the Bobber handle and brake better. The current Boneville Bobber may have the 'bobbed' cruiser style, but it definitely doesn't lack in performance or handling. The updated Bobber could well get sharper dynamics, and brakes. The updated Bobber will get Ohlins suspension and top-spec Brembo M50 monobloc calipers At the front, the standard fork has been replaced with fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension. And the Ohlins fork will offer better control at high speed, as well as customisation to set up the suspension for individual rider preferences. The brakes seem to be swapped with top-spec Brembo M50 monobloc calipers on twin discs, which will offer significantly better st

2020 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Confirmed

And the report states that the publication has access to specifications as well as the code name for the new model, which has been named internally as SD09. The current 2018-2019 Honda Africa Twin is the SD06, while the 2015-2017 model was the SD04. The big change is of course the engine displacement, which will now be a 1,084 cc mill, compared to the 998 cc engine of the current Africa Twin. The new Africa Twin will not get a significant power hike, with performance on the new 1,084 cc engine to be around 101 bhp (up from 94 bhp on the current model). The increased engine size means that the new Africa Twin will meet the Euro 5 emission regulations, and the 2020 CRF 1100L Africa Twin will be quieter as well, with new catalytic converters. With just over 100 bhp on tap, it's clear that Honda isn'
