2020 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Launched; Priced At Rs. 1.21 Lakh

Royal Enfield has updated the brand's official website with prices of its most affordable motorcycle, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350. The updated motorcycles had already reached Royal Enfield dealerships before the countrywide lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic was announced. The updated bike, which now meets the Bharat Stage VI (BS6) emission regulations, gets electronic fuel injection (EFI) instead of the carbureted engine of the outgoing model. The main differences between the Bullet X 350 and the Bullet 350 is in colours and decals. A new KTM 1290 Super Duke GT has been spotted on test and seems to get a few cosmetic and mechanical updates, borrowed from the 2020 KTM Super Duke R. From the looks of the spy shots, the updated machine seems to sport a revised chassis as well as a new Euro 5-compliant engine. The trellis frame on the updated bike appears to have changed from the centralized three-pronged structure of the first two GT models. With unprecedented Coronavirus crisis hitting the auto sector hard, it is becoming difficult for manufacturers to maintain business and liquidity as sales are now at a complete standstill. Hero MotoCorp , India's biggest two-wheeler company, has invoked Force Majeure and has decided to suspend payments to its vendors/suppliers amidst the Coronavirus lockdown as the company does not see any receivables coming in, a report in ET Auto said. The company has over 1 lakh units of BS4 two-wheelers lying at its dealerships across India and all dealerships will be under lockdown till April 14, 2020. Coronavirus Lockdown: Royal Enfield Invokes Force Majeure; Suspends Payments To Select Vendors

One can see that the Coronavirus Pandemic has thrown the Indian economy into disarray. Almost all vehicle manufacturers have shut down their operations and dealerships have shuttered amidst the Coronavirus lockdown. With all businesses coming to a grinding halt, auto manufacturers are invoking the 'Force Majeure' clause and have suspended payments to vendors. One of the companies doing so is Royal Enfield, belonging to Eicher Motors. Royal Enfield has invoked Force Majeure and has said that it will suspend payments, according to a report in Economic Times. "While we are all together in this, we have no choice but to declare this as 'Force Majeure' and suspend any/all our contractual obligations," Royal Enfield said in a circular that was sent to a few of its suppliers last week. The Honorable Supreme Court on Friday passed a judgement easing the March 31, deadline for the sale of the remaining BS4 vehicles. The automakers breathed a sigh of relief as the apex court decided to give an extension of 10 days for selling the BS4 vehicles. As the entire country is facing a lockdown to contain Coronavirus outbreak, the court decided to give dealers a slight extension in the deadline. However, the judgement came with some conditions wherein only BS4 vehicles can be sold for 10 days once the lockdown comes to an end. This means the BS4 vehicles will have to be registered before April 30, 2020. Interestingly, the dealers can sell only 10 per cent of unsold BS4 inventory. Aprilia India has listed the Tuono 125 on its website, starting a series of speculations that the motorcycle could make its way to the market this year. As per a report from PTI, Hero MotoCorp , the biggest two-wheeler manufacturer in India, has over 1 lakh units of BS4 two-wheelers with its dealerships across India. In a digital town-hall meeting, Dr. Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Hero MotoCorp said that the company will take care of the unsold BS4 inventory lying with dealers. He said that the dealerships will not have to suffer due to unsold BS4 inventory. One of the dealers who attended the Town-hall meeting confirmed the same as well. Dr. Munjal said that teams at Hero MotoCorp are working tirelessly to find ways and means to absorb or utilise unsold BS4 stocks and will connect with Hero dealers on this very soon. Coronavirus Pandemic: Yamaha India Extends Warranty & Service Period For Customers

India Yamaha Motor has announced that it will be extending the warranty and service period for its customers amidst the nationwide lockdown. The decision has been made to facilitate those customers that have warranties expiring during the lockdown and may not be able to avail warranty benefits during the said period. The initiative is part of Yamaha Lifetime Quality Care approach, and the benefits will extend for an additional 60 days, which is until June 2020. As part of the Quality Care approach, Yamaha will extend three services that were scheduled between March 15 to April 15, 2020. However, the latest spy images of the upcoming motorcycle have now confirmed that Royal Enfield 's all-new motorcycle will be called the Meteor 350. Recently, the Supreme Court ruled in favour of the Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA), easing the March 31 deadline for sale of BS4 vehicles. Previously the apex court had declined to even hear FADA's appeal, however, with the nationwide coronavirus lockdown, dealers were stuck with a huge number of BS4 inventory and no way to clear them before March 31. Suzuki Motorcycles has revealed the 2020 SV650 for global markets. The naked middleweight motorcycle will go on sale in Japan first and then launched in other markets. The motorcycle gets new colour schemes for 2020, which are Mystic Silver Metallic, Matte Black Metallic and a Glass Sparkle Black. The frame of the motorcycle is done in different colour than the base colour, for the first two colour schemes. The Glass Sparkle Black is basically an all-black colour scheme, with blacked out parts and even a blacked out frame.
