Full-Size LEGO Ducati Panigale V4 R Unveiled

After launching the Technic Ducati Panigale V4 R kit, Ducati has now unveiled a lifesize LEGO model of the bike using Technic bricks and a real engine! Unveiled at the Modena Circuit in Italy, the hand-built project took more than 400 hours to complete, and is artist Riccardo Zangelmi's first foray into design using Technic. Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali, Ducati MotoGP team rider Anndrea Dovizioso and Paolo Lazzarin, General Manger of LEGO Italia unveiled the full-sized LEGO version of the Ducati Panigale V4 R at Modena.

"I am very happy because I never imagined I'd have the chance to unveil a bike like this. Almost everyone at some point in their lives has played with LEGO bricks at least once, but seeing up close a replica of the Panigale V4 is something incredible and at a very high level. I would like to congratulate the LEGO artist Riccardo Zangelmi for building such a true to life and detailed version of the motorcycle. I am sure children and adults alike will be captivated by this incredible model," said Dovizioso.

Zangelmi did not use computer modeling first, and shot to use pure hand craft from start to finish. In the end, it took more than 400 hours and 15,000 LEGO and Technic bricks to create the finished product. And with an impressive finished product, both the Ducati CEO and the Ducati MotoGP rider came on board for the official unveiling of the bike. The LEGO version weighs 180 kg, which is around 10 kg more than the real bike's 172 kg weight.

Honda 850 cc Parallel-Twin Engine Revealed In Patent Filings

Latest patent images from Japan seem to indicate that Honda may be working on an all-new 850 cc, parallel-twin engine. And the new engine, with more displacement to meet the Euro 5 emission regulations, will replace the current engine on the Honda NC750 range, with the engine and chassis shares amongst several Honda models including the Honda NC750S naked bike, the NC750D Integra scooter, the NC750X adventure tourer, as well as the Honda X-ADV adventure scooter. None of these models are offered on sale in India, but with new emission regulations looming around the corner in Europe, Honda is possibly looking to explore an increase in displacement to meet those norms. Indian FTR 1200 Rally Revealed

Indian Motorcycle took the wraps off the Indian FTR 1200 Rally, which is an off-road biased version of the standard Indian FTR 1200 . The FTR 1200 Rally looks more of a scrambler than a flat-tracker and boy, does it look good! There are a few changes on the Rally compared to the standard model such as ProTaper handlebars, which are 50 mm higher. This results in a more upright seating position. The alloy wheels are swapped out for Aluminium spoke wheels wrapped in knobby Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR rubber. The FTR 1200 Rally also gets a new Titanium smoke paint scheme along with the Indian headdress logo along with a brown seat, giving the motorcycle a stripped out retro look.
