Revolt RV400 Electric Motocycle Gets Its First Price Hike

Gurugram-based Revolt Intellicorp has announced a price increase for its flagship offering - the RV400 electric motorcycle. The Revolt RV400 now witnesses a price hike of Rs. 5000, and has attributed it to rise in input costs. With the price hike, the e-motorcycle now costs Rs. 1.04 lakh, as opposed to the introductory price of Rs. 99,000 (ex-showroom). The Rs. 5000 price hike is for the one-time 'Cash Down' payment option, while buyers also need to pay a one-time booking amount of Rs. 3999 and the registration, insurance and 4G connectivity charges at actuals. The Yamaha XSR 155 retro-styled motorcycle was launched in Indonesia last year, and now the company has introduced two new body kits. The new kits transform the XSR 155 into a cafe racer or a flat tracker. The neo-retro motorcycle is based on the Yamaha MT-15 , and the retro-styling is extremely likeable. The body kit includes 12 accessories that include cosmetic upgrades and bolt-on protective components. The body kits are priced between 120,000 and 950,000 Indonesian Rupiah (Rs. 600 and Rs. 4800). 2020 Hero Super Splendor 125 BS6 Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs. 67,300

Hero MotoCorp has introduced the BS6 compliant Super Splendor 125 in India. The 2020 Hero Super Splendor 125 is priced from Rs. 67,300 for the self-drum alloy wheel variant, going up to Rs. 70,800 ( all prices, ex-showroom Delhi) for the range-topping self-disc alloy version. The new Super Splendor BS6 is about Rs. 5500 more expensive than the BS4 model and joins the company's recently updated range of products in the new BS6 era. The manufacturer introduced the BS6 versions of the Passion Pro and the Glamour earlier this month at Hero World 2020,  while the Pleasure+ 110, Destini 125, Maestro Edge 125, Splendor+ among others were upgraded much earlier. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has updated its popular-selling Unicorn motorcycle to the BS6 emission norms. The 2020 Honda Unicorn 160 BS6 is priced from Rs. 93,593 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and gets a steep hike in prices by about Rs. 13,500 over the outgoing Unicorn 150 ABS. Honda has rebranded the motorcycle to just the 'Unicorn' denoting that only a single version will be on offer. This means the Unicorn's 150 cc engine will be discontinued and the bike has been upgraded to the 160 cc power mill. Eicher Motors, Royal Enfield 's parent company, has reportedly filed trademark applications for two potential models with the European Union Intellectual Property Office for use on "motorcycles; parts and fittings therefore," as well as for various apparel and merchandise. The company began selling BS6 models in India in September 2019, with the Activa 125, and currently, it offers five BS6 compliant models - the Activa 125, Activa 6G, and Dio scooters, along with the Shine and SP 125 motorcycles. Furthermore, Honda Two-Wheelers has also announced that all its four factories in India have completed 100 per cent transition to BS6 production, a month before the official deadline of April 1, 2020. The all-new Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin was unveiled in September 2019 and now it will finally be launched in India on March 5, 2020. The new motorcycle gets multiple updates including a major update to the engine along with a new look too. The overhaul includes a revised fairing and a lighter frame. There are two variants, the Africa Twin and the Africa Twin Adventure Sports, which is the long-distance touring model. Triumph Planning To Shift Main Production To Thailand

British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles is planning to move most of its motorcycle manufacturing outside of the UK, to the brand's manufacturing facility in Thailand. So far, 90 per cent of Triumph motorcycle models are already built at the Thailand facility, with just the Triumph Speed Triple and the Triumph Tiger 1200 being built at the brand's factory in Hinckley, UK. Production is expected to be moved to Thailand from mid-2020, but UK production will continue; around 4,500 motorcycles will continue to be built at Hinckley, after all mass production is moved abroad.
