It's nevertheless a significant upgrade, the new generation Hero Glamour, and here's all you need to know about what has changed, and how different it is.
All-New 125 cc BS6 Engine
The 2020 Hero Glamour is powered by an all- new 125 cc, single-cylinder, engine with what Hero calls XSens Programmed Fuel Injection. The new engine is said to produce 19 per cent more power with a maximum power output of 10.73 bhp at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 10.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine and chassis form the same base platform as the 2020 Hero Passion Pro, with the Glamour's engine bored out to 125 cc. Unlike the Passion Pro, the new Hero Glamour comes with a five-speed gearbox, with a one-down, four-up gearshift pattern.
New Features
The new Hero Glamour also boasts of Hero's Auto Sail technology, which essentially allows the rider to crawl ahead in traffic, without downshifting, and also comes equipped with Hero's idle start-stop system, called i3S. The i3S system cuts the engine when the bike is stationary for a period of time, like at a stop light, and just a pull of the clutch fires up the engine, ensuring fuel savings.
New Frame, Updated Suspension
The 2020 Hero Glamour BS6 is built on an all-new rigid diamond frame, shared with the 2020 Hero Passion Pro. The new Glamour now has 20 per cent more ground clearance, of 180 mm, 14 per cent more front suspension travel and 10 per cent more rear suspension travel.
